  1. Hi,
Could you recommend a light peel product that i get get for my 17 year old daughter who has frequent acne breakouts?

    • Hello Patrick,

As an effective treatment for acne prone skin, I would suggest using DDF Acne Control Treatment. The active ingredient in this product, Salicylic acid, is one that proves to be beneficial in keeping the pores clear. It helps keep the pores exfoliated, and is anti-inflammatory. In addition to this treatment, we recommend daily cleansing with the Clarisonic Acne Daily Clarifying Cleanser, with the Clarisonic Mia. The Clarisonic has proven to effectively cleanse the skin 2x’s greater than manual cleansing, which will enhance the penetration of any skin specific treatment, including acne.

    • Jane,

Thank you for the question. This is a common concern for women that are breast feeding. After nine months of carefully watching what goes into your body and on your skin, it doesn’t seem to get any easier!
At JPS Skin, we tell our clients to always consult their doctor if there is a question about a product shortly after childbirth. However, topical products rarely have the absorption power to make it to your milk ducts, and anti-aging treatments are a terrific addition to your post-delivery regimen. I would recommend staying away from peels and Retin- A until you’re done with breast feeding, and would start with glycolic cleansers. Glycolic cleansers are a great exfoliant and a perfect start to any anti-aging regimen. I love the DDF line because it’s effective and has a great price point.

Additionally, RX skin therapy has a great serum that helps with fine lines and wrinkles as well as evens out skin tone. I LOVE this stuff!

RX Skin Therapy | Skin Firming Serum | 15 ml

DDF Doctor’s Dermatologic Formula | Wrinkle Resist Plus Pore Minimizer | .23 oz

DDF Doctor’s Dermatologic Formula – Daily Protective Moisturizer SPF 15 1.7 oz.

DDF Doctor’s Dermatologic Formula – Glycolic 5% Exfoliating Wash 6.0 oz.
